The Actes Trust Story
Actes Trust was formed in 2001 as West Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Trust as an organisation to deliver the New Deal for Communities - a regeneration programme led by the UK government to improve the quality of life in some of England's most deprived neighbourhoods.

Upon completion of the New Deal for Communities, the organisation sought ways to become sustainable and in 2008 became a charity. Today, our primary focus lies within employability support, environmental inclusion, education and training, heath & wellbeing, financial confidence and ex-offender support. In addition we also operate the Acklam Green Centre - a large community and business facility with sports pitches.

To achieve our focus, we have delivered on a number of key national, regional and more local level programmes kindly funded by the European Social Fund, The National Lottery, The Ministry of Justice, The Department for Work and Pensions, Skills Funding Agency, Local Authority plus many more.
Since our inception in 2001, Actes Trust has supported over 25,000 people across the Tees Valley through a wide range of successful and impactful projects. To learn more about these projects, please click here.
